Apollonia Casino kept the mood light—Gerben’s Pac-Man shirt even found a matching fan at his table.
Away from the Tables
Some of the group went shopping, others explored local culture, and many shared meals at nearby spots. Evening cash games created lively dynamics with local regulars joining the fun.
- Bad Beat Jackpot attempt: €30,622.00 — still unclaimed.
- Weather: forecasts look mixed, but it’s mostly dry and comfortable outdoors without a jacket.
See the attached photos for more from Day 4.

- Deep runs: Albert made another strong run, catching a timely break this time. Bram, Peter, and Lieuwe also bagged on Day 1C. Koen advanced via the turbo flight (Day 1D).
Numbers
- The guarantee was met already with Day 1C.
- Official figures for Day 1D haven’t been posted yet.
- Day 1E is coming up on Saturday.

- Great weather in the morning—perfect for a terrace drink, tax-free souvenir shopping, or a quick trip into the mountains.
- The cash game area was packed late into the night; Niko put in a big run.

BPC North Macedonia — Day 6 (Saturday, 29 March 2025)
Bram advances to Day 3 and the festival hits its second-largest field ever with 906 total entries—a huge milestone for the casino.
Quick Look Back: Day 1D (Turbo)
- 103 entries in the turbo flight.
- Koen was the only one from our group to reach Day 2 via 1D.
Day 2 Summary
- 17:00 — Day 2 kicked off with 7 of our players in the field.
- Unfortunately, Koen was out after two hands.
- The field played down from around the money zone (~117 left) to the final 45 who return for Day 3.
- Bram is through to Day 3 — work to do on chips, but still very much alive. GG!
By the Numbers
- Total entries: 906 — 2nd largest turnout in the casino’s history.
Monster Deepstack
- 19:00 — Monster Deepstack began with many of our travelers joining.
- From social updates, these players reached Day 2 (Sunday 13:00): Barbara, Gerben, Peter, Gert D, Robert B.
Off the Felt
- A full Dutch cash-game table made for a fun session — even the dealer swap turned into a running gag.
- There’s also an inside joke about a “Bladblazer” making the rounds — lots of laughs (and one frustrated soul).
Sunday Schedule
- Main Event — Day 3
- Monster Deepstack — Day 2 (13:00)
- Closing PKO
BPC North Macedonia — Day 7 (Sunday, 30 March 2025)
Final day of the festival — big closes across the board.
Monster Deepstack — Day 2
- Eliza also advanced from Saturday’s flight.
- 13:00 start with six from our group (four men, two women).
- Three of the four men busted early; Barbara and Eliza carried the Dutch flag alongside Gerben.
- Barbara finished a solid 19th.
- Final Table: both Gerben and Eliza made it. Eliza exited early; Gerben laddered smartly and, three-handed, they struck an ICM deal. GG Gerben!
Main Event — Day 3
- 12:00 start (one hour before the Monster DS).
- Bram came in short and applied pressure to pick up blinds/antes.
- From the big blind vs a min-raise, Bram jammed with QJ, got called by AK, and found no help.
- He finished a respectable 38th with a payout. GG Bram!
PKO (Bounty) — 14:00
- Within 90 minutes, Lieuwe scored the first local knockout and his first bounty.
- Mark and Arjan went deep and met with three tables left. Mark, once ahead, lost QQ vs AQ and was short.
- UTG, Mark shoved 4♠5♠, got two callers (pocket pairs). Board ran 44x then another 4 — he survived with quads but fell just shy of the FT.
- Arjan kept building; at the FT he grabbed two more bounties, took the chip lead, and a 4-way ICM deal was made. Arjan wins the tournament. What a finish!
Off the Felt
- 14:30 TV debate: two Twente fans pushed for Heracles–Twente, but the room chose PSV–Ajax. When Twente’s score came in, the sting faded.
- The “bladblazer” mystery is solved — it’s Jelmer’s nickname. Mark (“Oempa-Loempa”) could finally relax, cocktail in hand.
Travel Wrap-Up
After midnight it was lights out — airport transfers at 08:00 and 08:20 on Monday morning.
